EVENT POLICIES

Tempted By Fiction: A Book Lovers Festival is committed to creating a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all attendees, authors, vendors, and staff.

To ensure this, we maintain a Zero Tolerance Policy for the following behaviors:

  • Harassment of any kind – including verbal, physical, sexual, or online harassment.

  • Discrimination – based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected status.

  • Inappropriate or offensive conduct – including aggressive behavior, threats, intimidation, or hate speech.

  • Unauthorized sales or promotion outside of designated vendor areas.

  • Substance abuse or disorderly conduct that disrupts the event experience.

Fraudulent Tickets

Please be aware that tickets for our events are only sold through our official website. We are not responsible for tickets purchased through third-party sellers or individuals. To avoid fraud, we strongly recommend purchasing directly from our official sources. If you come across suspicious listings, please report them to us. Any resale tickets will be available through our private Facebook group only. A link to this group can be found on our May 2026 Info Page.

Enforcement

  • Anyone found engaging in prohibited behavior will be subject to immediate removal from the event without refund and will be banned from future events.

  • Serious violations may result in permanent bans from future events and/or involvement of law enforcement.

Reporting

If you experience or witness any violation of this policy, please notify event staff immediately. They will be identifiable by t-shirt, lanyard or both.

Full coverage face masks, full coverage face painting, and weapons (real or fake) are STRICTLY PROHIBITED. You will be denied entry.

Our goal is to bring readers together at events that are fun, safe, and non judgmental.
